I recently purchased a 1973 half ton 4wd that has a 6 inch spring lift. I want to bring it back down to normal what all do I need to do? The owner is trying to find a steering arm and I'm trying to find springs. LMC does not stock the rear 1973 1/2 ton springs but does stock 1973 3/4 ton springs. Front springs LMC has. Can I use the 3/4 ton springs and will they fit? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

What length are the existing rear springs in the truck? Do the rear spring brackets appear to be in the original location (riveted on vs bolted or welded)?

You can get rear springs for your truck from any number of other online vendors. None of them are going to be NOS, unless stated otherwise.

I'd check with junkyards, or go to a local Spring Shop.

One more thing. When I put it back to it's stock height does anyone have an idea on how big of tire I can go with? I'm looking at 30x9.50 15 or maybe a 31x10.50. But I don't know what will fit until I try it. The rims I have on my 94 are 15x7 Back spaced 3.75 offset -6MM bolt pattern 5x5.00. Not sure if that will match up to the 73. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

31X10.50 15's will clear just fine at stock height.
