Well today I got her I'm pretty excited to start tearing into it
The engines ready to drop in but I'm gonna go over it and make sure it's not half assed. I always like doing things the right way first so it don't come back and bite me in the butt. Here she is

The PVC pipe works but its coming off and my airs going thru an intercooler, the electric fuel pump is getting ditched for a mech one ( never liked electric). Tomorrow Im gonna get crackin!!

Just need oil pan gasket. fuel pump, and some cleaner wiring and she's ready to go in

Ya know I really considered it, but then I cleaned it off and the black was all still there. Mabye the next detroit I build will be alpine green

It in !!! It took 4 hours for me and my brother to pull the 350 and set it in. All hooked up mechanically except for the exhaust, only obstacle (so far) is eliminating the A/C unit thing for the turbo to fit

Problem solved! Ac box is gone, just gotta plate around the hole turbo looks perfect in there!

The heater core and stuffs still in there i gotta plate over the hole, that was just the ac stuff in that box

You know that hole is for the blower to blow air through into the heater box too right, not just for AC? You might want to consider converting the whole shebang over to heat/def only system. Not very difficult, worst part is changing the holes in the firewall but it will be much neater for you and the heat only blower housing is very small and will be out of the way.

I cut the blower off thebox, its still on the fire wall, I'm not too worried about heat/def anyhow, the trucks getting a whole resto so it won't be seeing cold weather. Thanks for the links though

Swap was pretty clean and easy most parts from the small block could be used on the 6.2. The things that needed to be changed/modified:
Radiator hoses
Torque converter
Flexplate
Throttle cable
Flex plate cover (cut about 1/8 inch around rear main and starter opening)


I can't remember the other things but ill edit them in but that should be about it. Ill try to post a video when I get my glowplugs

We used to blow a heat gun into the intake and crank her over till she fired when we had bad plugs.

My engine runs great! Definitely worth it. I have a problem though, my tranny is leaking out the cover under the TC is it a seal? Or is it the fact that I filled the TC completely full before I put it on ?

If you filled it totally full it should cycle into the transmission. It's probably a seal on the transmission pump. If you think you just made a mess on install wait it out and watch your fluid.
