As stated, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, friend dropped it to me for wiring repairs, wanted brakes, markers, headlights, and right turn to work (has never worked)
I got the car with 4 relays making the rear light harness operate from last person in the wiring and new led lights all the way around for tails and markers/turn. I referred back to a 1957 manual and got all that sorted out and rewired, same with front harness, both with repairs and removing multiple wires that had no connection on either end (I don't know how it didn't burn down with all the twisted together wires chilling every 16")
Now my last issue is the right turn signal. I've replaced rear harness with new wiring from harness plug back, I made repairs from firewall forward along with replacing wires at this point. All of my lights operate correctly except the right turn. I have a new switch and rebuild the column, I have new wiring, I have new plugs at the lights, I still have the same issue of hitting the switch for right turn and my voltage drops to 8.4v. I've been over the harness 1000 times at this point since November, I can't figure it out, every once in awhile it works for a split second but I haven't done anything new or different, I've disconnected front and back harnesses separately trying to isolate the issue, neither make a difference. Left turn has worked every single time I've tried to change something. I have no idea at this point. I was charging him per hour to work on this, but at this point I just want him to come get it and wash my hands of it after 100 hours of trying everything I could think of and still no change in the right turn signal. I even isolated the circuit with a second circuit I made outside of the car and still has same issue. I'm at the end of my patience with this car honestly and tired of it taking up my garage. Does anyone have any ideas?
