Going to be putting 52” springs from the rear of my blazer in the front someday soon. It’s 4 leaves plus the overload currently. Mainly curious to see if others have left the overloads in or take them out for ride or flex.

I know the 52s can be a little boaty in the front and aren’t the best for a daily driver. This is mainly going to be off-road/Sunday cruiser in the summer. Ideally I’d like to get ORD 47” or 52” springs down the line so this will be more of a temporary setup.

The overloads, if the straight and flat type, will just kind of be along for the ride so there's no point in having them up front.

I don’t have bump stops so I left my overloads on to (hopefully) prevent me from over flexing and bending the springs.

Are they the completely flat ones, or the ones that have a slight curve to engage the main leaf sooner?

I have 2.5” lift springs but the overload is flat.

@Charlie Kleman at some point I’ll add bump stops. I plan to move the bracket forward to center it over the spring plate and space down the bump stop itself.
