4x4/K10/Longbox/2 door from Long Island, New York

This is my truck/obsession that I think might slowly be coming to an end. It's an '84 Chevrolet K-10 4x4.

The first picture is from the day after I got it. The second is from the time I got it stuck for over 24 hours which also resulted in a blown engine and a lot of other ruined/broken ****. The third is from today, some of the best off-roading I have done yet.

It's go no brakes, no power steering, no idea how long this engine is going to last me, no idea how much longer the transmission has, and the metal is kind of rotting away. It does have a working transfer case, though!

That's the video version of the third picture I posted. You can't really tell from the video how sketchy it was to do that with this truck at stock ride height. If I ****** up, the truck would have fell into a deep ditch (where the rusted car is) and rolled down a huge hill. That's why we decided to film it, lol.

If you decide to part it out, send me a PM. Who knows what I could use from it. There's a good chance that I'll eventually need a long bed. My wheel arches are shot.

I can never get rid of this truck, though. I love it more than anything, it's almost weird. If I do need to stop daily driving it, it'll sit on my property and become a hobby truck/weekend wheeler only type thing. The actual death of the truck is not intended to happen in the foreseeable future.

My original plan was to completely restore it and have a beautiful square body for the rest of my life. But I'm still in that play now, fix later mode.

At least you want to fix it up and getting use out of it before you decide to fix it.

Sometimes it's better to build it a little at a time, and enjoy it...rather than tear it down to a bare frame and get stuck in builder hell for three or four years.

Get the mechanicals good first, and try to collect parts you'll need for the body side of things. Then work on one part of the body at a time so you don't get burned out on it.
