Traded a subaru and getting an 83 C10 with a knocking good guys 350 and a replacement engine to go with it so that's cool. He said it has a 4L75 transmission? I know nothing about them. Like barely even heard of one and I felt stupid lol so here I am asking about them. Did a quick Google search and seems there good. Did they come stock in anything?
He said engine and trans came out of a built Vega or something. Pics will come. I was there and didn't get any pics tho. Thanks in advance

The 4L75E is a crate HP 4L60E variant sold over the counter by GM as an alternative to the 4L80E where power levels exceed 600 but where a 4L80E will not fit without modifying the transmission tunnel, which usually not desiresble to do.

To my knowledge, they were never a RPO.

I wondered that too. Sometimes he mixes things up and maybe that's what it is. Man I wish I wasn't in too much of a hurry to get a picture or 2.
The 4L75E has a billet 4th gear servo but looks like any other later 4L60E, apart from that. The TH375B is a beefier version of the TH350 but looks just like it while the 375 is the red-headed step child of the Turbo400 family and has a 27-spline output shaft but looks like a TH400 beyond that.

Looking up the 4l75E it's too new to be in this truck so I'm almost certain he meant TH375. I'm cool with that. Once I get the truck I'll try to change posting title and make it a build thread.
Planning to maybe swap intake and carb over. Might trade cam over too or replace cam in the replacement 350. Headers and dual pipes. Pretty clean blank canvas truck. Has like no interior. No bed. I have a donor bed and donor dash pad that needs work to go to it already and some various other things for it To help complete it.
I've always been a power 4x4 guy and seemed to adopt GMT400 burb
I've never lowered a truck or wanted to lower a truck before.
However i want to lower this one. Probably the stance of @ChuckN
That's a nice looking truck there.

Lowered trucks are fun. I dig a K10 or K20 any day of the week tho.
