Any thoughts on value of a 454 in a 78 c10?

I feel it adds value. You will not regret it. Torque rules. I have first hand knowledge.

No argument here…
But value add? If original 454 truck it is more valuable now that these trucks are collectable.
Mine being an original 350 truck, it’s not inherent to the value of the vehicle but was a nice perk that it had a good running big block in it.

That’s a big yes on the 454, I bought a 82 C20 just because it was a factory 454 and turbo 400 trans. But not much stock on the 454 now, also has a gear vendors overdrive unit now.

I picked my truck primarily for the camper special and the big block. Minimal rust and under 70k miles sealed the deal.

Great looking engine! Thanks for helping me make the decision.

Did for me, but mine's a tow rig, so the added torque ought to be meaningful.
