I’m trying to build a 383 stroker out of a sbc350, in the process, I cracked a main cap. Does anybody have a set for sale? Thank you!

I know this guy, so I've told him to post here since he hasn't got the 50 posts for classifieds. He's one of the E6 Navy guys at Tinker AFB here just outside OKC.

If anyone has a cracked block, block with a hole in it etc, he needs SBC 4 bolt main large journal main caps. He's obviously going to have to have a line bore now. Because it's already drilled for 4 bolt factory mains without extensive fill work, he can't just buy splayed mains or I'd have suggested it.

So if you have a 4 Main bad block, he probably really only needs the 3 center mains and can keep his same rear and front main caps.

many years ago I made that mistake. The block had to be sent off to get line bored after a used cap was found.

If he doesn't he can get them pretty easy. He's got scrap yard buddy that can rob them off a scrapped block.

That time I needed a main bearing cap I called a shop over here that specializes in flywheels, blocks and heads. Barneys Blocks and heads. If You can not find one I can see if He has a spare laying round.
