I want to clean up the vac tubing mess. There's some stuff there that wasn't hooked up to begin with. I know everyone hates cleaning up the po's ****, when you can't figure out what they did.

84 k10 350/350. All the big stuff like fuel, pcv are fine. I went to change the gasket (which was broken and all that held the carb down was 2 long rear bolts). There's 1 line running from the rear of the engine, 1 cable with spring, 1 that connects to the front passenger side of the car- that end is connected to another fitting beside it on the carb.

Then the egr **** is a mess. Already ordered a block off plate- wasn't working anyways not with all the solid black crud/gum in it.

I'd like to run it with only what's required and yank the rest of the ****.

Not used to carbs- or sbc so pics would be great Thanks.

If you don't have to wory about emission tests, I would get rid of everything but what I needed.
Vacuum to brake booster.
Vacuum to dizzy.
Accel cable.
TV cable to trans.

There is no emissions in NC for vehicles older than 1996. After a vehicle is older than 35 years you don't even have to get a safety inspection.

I can understand doing away with the emission test on an older vehicle. I'm not sure I understand doing away with a safety test on a 35 year old vehicle though. Seems that would be when they needed it the most.

That's why I keep getting older ones :) Besides who needs all that ecu **** ?

Newest I've ever owned was a 97, this chevy is the oldest and first factory solid axle.

is it pretty small? if so that would be the vacuum for the blend door inside the heater box.

we currently have no emission or safety inspections here. Only on commercial trucks. I think there should be a safety inspection tho, I get a ton of junks in that haven't been safe for a long while. I done a tow today that had tires so rotten I was afraid to even tow it and the girl drives it everywhere and doesn't care how dangerous it is for her and her 3 kids
