Had someone on ebay interested in just the block but wanted me to ship it to him. He said its for him to ship than to come get it and he uses a shipping company for shipping. He's about 8 hours south in Greencastle SC. I told him I dont have a shipper bander or a wood crate.

I hate to see old auto parts to scrap, even if they are the other breed cuz you know there is always someone that can use it and keep it alive, but sometimes, its just not worth the hassle. Kinda like old Chevy 283 blocks. I remember when they were dime a dozen. Now days they are rare but even then, they aren't worth much, but if you had a small journal 327, its damn near worth a fortune.

Yea I know the feeling. Knowing my luck I'll scrap the 302 then couple days later someone would die to get it off my hands.

Got a guy coming Tuesday afternoon sometime who wants just the block, crank and maybe the heads. He said I could keep the pistons and rods and sell them to someone else.

I tried selling a 302 crank, good rods and .020 over pistons with flywheel and balancer for $50 on CL, it didn't sell either. I scrapped it all.

Re-thinking on just scrapping this block too.

If it hasn't sold in this amount of time. Probably may as well.

Beats scrapping it and taking it out service forever. I hate to see older hard to find auto parts go to the scrapyard. If they are bad thats another thing, but if not, just want to see it in the hands of someone who will eventually use it, even if all I got was scrap value out of it.
