I bought a four inch suspension lift and a three inch body lift for my 84 suburban, went with a 4 inch for less drivetrain angles and the three inch body for extra lift.Just wondering if anyone has done a body lift on a burb, looking for problems you ran into or tips for specific things on the burbs. I noticed there's some frame bolts in the back that are hidden in the frame by the gas tank, drop the tank? Or could I just shear the top of the bolts that are tacked on there? I have new bolts and I know I have to lengthen the shift linkage, and should I install the blocks between the bushings or straight frame and body?

I read somewhere there's three inches of travel in the steering shaft, not sure though, probably fuel filler neck, 4x4 shifter linkage, fan shroud maybe some wiring. Anything else??

The tank is going to hang below the body. Mine on my k10 does anyway. Steering shaft should be fine. Watch putting too much weight in the back of your burb. Whoever put the body lift on my truck hauled something heavy and now there is a huge hump in the bed floor where the blocks are.

I don't think my tank will be that horrible its a 40 gallon tank that takes up the back 1/4 of the frame haha its tucked up pretty good I just didnt want to have to drop the tank to get to those bolts. I don't think I'll ever have much weight in the back maybe a motor and tranny every now and then but that's about it, otherwise I'll just use a trailer haha
