Grab a digital VOM. Black lead to engine block. Submerge red in the coolant via the radiator cap. Anything over 250mv is an indication of electrolysis.

Replace the drain plug with an anode rod, use a conditioner like royal purple, or water wetter, distilled water, and I like to use a good quality antifreeze/coolant like Zerex or the original equipment manufacturer brand, which isn't as expensive as having to replace your aluminum radiator when it it's from corrosion build up. Your best bet is to get the pre mixed 50/50 coolant, that way you don't have to worry about mixing anything, and just remember to use the same type of coolant for the remainder of the coolant life cycle...
