I have a two post 10,000# Challenger lift in my shop, I have no regrets. Benefit of a two post is the ability to do wheel end maintenance easily. I have had my Son's 2500HD 4x4 diesel crewcab on the lift, but never at fully raised position, and used underlift stands for safety. An overlooked maintenance item on surface mount lifts is monitoring the concrete anchor torque, check it monthly, or at least every 60 days.

@Craig Nedrow what booklet are you referring to for lift points? My factory service manuals show the lift points for my vehicles but just have to do what seems right for others.

I'd go with this ... if I had a place to put it ...
I'm thinking about a 4-post lift for a storage unit so free standing is a MUST. Even if I could bolt a 2-post lift to the floor, many have overhead sync hardware. A friend has a 2-post lift with open tops and ramp plates before/after the chain box across the floor between the uprights. I sure was grateful to use it for my 84 K30 build. I agree that 2-post seems more useful for most maintenance work. YMMV

few more lift pics, yeah I have an excellent shop, and use it almost every day. Just finished fixing my Howard rotovator with the lathe, and fixed a set of heavy duty front mount forks that were skid steer to the much better John Deere global system.

Bend pak has a book that shows the lift points for almost everything made, came with the lift. On my C20 page, you can see the lift points I use, very solid. Every time I see your picture with your pup, makes me smile, love dogs. Scratch that tummy Paul!

I'm definitely upgrading my compressor when I can. I have an old speed air 30 gallon. Tank is decent size but pump is slow to recover. I picked up this old pump to try out. It's allot bigger. Going to need to figure out how many hp.

Got a number on that book? I'll try to find it and order one. Probably be a life saver lol

There's a booklet published by Automotive Lift Institute that you can get from lift suppliers that show the lift points of all the makes and models
