Most of my question comes as a result of my not thinking ahead. I tossed the old molding before I realized it would be useful to have until the job is complete. I’m a newbie.
I purchased a roll of side molding and new emblems. My question is in regards to how the emblem attaches to the molding. It looks like the tabs (one on each end) go into the molding. My new molding has no holes for the tabs. It also looks like the tab has to go through the tallest part of the ridge? So that the smaller Locating protrusions will ride on each side of the ridge.
If I’m correct so far, how would you go about making the holes? I was thinking a drill bit thats The size of the narrower dimension and a couple holes side by side. If I’m totally off, let me have it.
