1988 C30 Cab and Chassis Frame Question

I ran across an ad on Facebook Marketplace today for a 1988 C30 single wheel utility body. In looking at their pictures, I noticed the reinforcement plates under the frame. I know that there were a bunch of different variations of these frames over the years. Just for my clarification, these reinforcement plates only came on the Cab and Chassis models correct? And at that, I don't recall seeing them on the 4x4 C&C's. Was this a 2 wheel drive only feature during that time or did they also come on 4 wheel drive versions of the frame?

I'm probably not actually interested in buying the truck. This is purely for information purposes.

I am not sure, but I think it is C30-only. I do not remember them on the few '89 K30's I have worked on in the past. But my '89 C30 frame has them, as well as my neighbor's '89 C30.
