1987 R30 panel interchange

We have a 1987 R30. Besides the mechanical differences, are the body panels the same as c30? Bedsides, bedside fenders, doors, bumpers, etc. and help and all help is be appreciated!!!

R30 is the designation for the '87- up square body/carryover trucks. GMC calls them R3500. Since the new body style GMT 400 trucks were using the C/K nomenclature, the idea was to rename the older style trucks to avoid confusion. Unfortunately it doesn't do that....but to answer your question, yes, all square body long beds will interchange, and crew cab components will as well. The front clips are the same as '81-86 trucks; 88-91 use different grille and headlights if you have the quad sealed beam headlights.
My last square body Burb was a '90 R2500. Bodywise it's the same as my '84 Silverado Burb except for the later style grille and headlights. And square body Burbs share door compatibility and interchange with the crew cabs(as on the 400/OBS trucks, I have both!).
Using the VIN can help with getting parts.
