I purchased the Aries 3" round stainless step bars, part number 204040 from LMC. The claim is they are a no drill installation. I found this not to be true. The front bracket fits, the rear bracket does not fit. Aires website shows part number 204037-2 is the correct part for a 1987. The picture Aries shows of the rear bracket for this part number looks like it will not fit either. I emailed Aries direct and have gotten no response. Does anyone know what stainless step bars will fit a 1987 4x4 regular cab? I do not want to pay $300.00 for bars and then have to fabricate my own brackets.

Anything aftermarket will probably require some sort of creative thinking outside the box to actually install.
Take a look at this post that I did after my step bar install. I hope it works anyway.
