1987 c10 manual 4 spd.. factory trans?

Looking to buy a 87 TBI c10 model truck. I found 1 with a 5.7 and 4 on the floor. Did gm make 4 speed models then. Are they rare to find if so?

87 K20s with the 4 spd SM465 are fairly common.

If it's an A883, it's not original. The SM465 was available in the half ton with a 350 and are quite rare.

I thought the 4spd overdrive was available then? Was it just in the 4x4?

What about the 3/4 tons. I have seen lots in the 87 3/4 ton 4x4s (SM465)

Only certain engines received the OD A833.

One will be the big long shifter and the other will be a factory Hurst shifter.

Not so rare, but the clutch pedal setup can be, I grab them every time I see one.

So its like a 1st granny gear and 1 2 D. Kinda like no overdrive, like having a turbo 350 trans? Gas guzzler

Yeah, 3rd gear is a 1:1 ratio. Gas guzzler? Maybe compared to an overdrive, but still shouldn't be horrible. The tbi should help a little.

That's funny. A friend of mine has a 465 that came out of an 86 c1500. not sure if it was a short box or not, but I have the 4.3 v6 that was in front of it. They used to belong to another friend of ours, whose dad had them sitting in the garage for a long time. the truck got totaled with only 20k on the clock.
