New from Munford (Memphis) TN. I have a 1987 Chevy R10 same as C10 and
went to change my air filter and the lid gasket kind of melted. Every tiime I look one up (air cleaner lid) it says for 1988-1994. Nothing for a 1987. It is a 350 TBI. I actually just need the gasket for the lid. But will buy whole lid if it fits? Is a 1988 350 TBI the same as a 1987?

I maybe talking out of my ass here but I was told a 94 is the same small block 350 as an 87 all you have to do is change the distributor other then that plug and play. If that's correct it should have the same air cleaner and everything. Don't quote me on it, I was looking at a 350 from a 94 and a buddy who bogs squares told me that.

87-95 TBI Long blocks, and intake and exhaust manifolds are the same to the best of my knowledge.

Some of the later model lids used 2 wing nuts/rods as opposed to 1. its all in the lower spacer. Just clean out the old seal, and lay a 1/4" bead of clear RTV around it. Let it setup for about 2 hours, then coat the top lip of the base<wher the lid seals) with petroleum jelly, and snug the air cleaner down a little...this way it forms a custom seal, without sticking. clean it off after a few days.
