I have all but gutted the c20 and put all the parts into my k15 for the 4*4. The T-Case, trans, rear dif and a few other things. This brought up a question in my head.

I do A LOT of firewood hauling with the k15 and am wondering if it would be safe to swap the leafs out so I have the bigger leafs in my k15?

Would it lift a little bit or be the same height?

Also the c20 has 4.10 differentials where the k15 has 308 ( which I like for the miliage ) would the c20 springs be to much for the 308 in my k15?

Thanks everybody in advance.

The C20 probably has 56" rear springs and your K10 probably has 52's. You can use them, but the rear hanger needs moved back 4 inches on the frame. If your K10 is a long bed, the holes should already be in the frame for the longer springs.

Don't expect more lift from the swap, just a little better ride and more load capacity.

And not all long beds have the holes in the frame for the 56" springs.. I've checked and double checked mine and don't see them. I may triple check but I don't think I'm that blind.

I think all the long bed 4x4's have the holes there, they are only 4" apart so its easy to miss as they are almost covered up by the existing hardware.

Nope, 3/4 tons usually had them (also Burbs) and some 1/2 ton trucks got them too. However, there were som 3/4 ton trucks that got the 52's.

You could very well be right, it probably changed here an there over the years.

Out of curiosity though, are you sure you have 52's? Maybe you have longer springs and the extra holes are ahead of the hanger? Just a thought.
