Hi Folks,
I've had the truck for a bit and the discussions in these forums have already been a huge help. Many Thanks.
Looking to make this truck a long term driver. It's been a fun bit of investigation figuring out what's been (not) done to it.
So far:
- Transmission is from an '84 vehicle - manufactured on Friday January 13th 1984.
- Suspect the engine has also been replaced, haven't been able to read the code yet, etching too weak and view too blocked.
- Most emissions stuff is gone, some 'creative' vacuum and electrical stuff going on....
- Some changes to the cross members supporting the bed and some angle bracket 'welded' in (being generous here), possibly due to helper spings being installed.

It's all OK. Knew what I was getting into.
Work items are being prioritized like this:
- Safety
- Reliability
- Utility
- Longevity
- Comfort
- Appearance
