Can you recommend shock absorbers for a normal ride height C10 1985 longbed? I'm after comfortable ride over speed bumps and bigger jolts. Right now there seems to be very little if any rebound absorption specially at the rear. My shocks are worn for sure but looking at the old Chevy commercials it seems like bouncy ride was an "original quality" of the truck. I'm sure modern shocks could do better.
Also has anyone experimented with removing one leaf from the rear leaf pack, and if so, which one? I do not need load capacity, just better suspension.
I've already done one major improvement to the ride: General Grabber AT3 tires in 31x10.5x15. Compared to the 255 and 275/60x15 tires they really made small bumps and tarmac cracks disappear. Highly recommended.
