Cool Easy enough then!

1/2 inch long #8 screws usually work well, and an 1/8 dilled hole too. No self tappers. Just put the band where you want it on the truck and put a tape line above and below it. Then center the clips between the tape and mark where the holes get drilled.

My question is if you wanna put the trim on a truck that it didn't have it can you just use some sheet metal screws to hold the white plastic things on?

Classic Parts has the screws too. Part # 62-881

Silverado doesn't have it...? Perhaps after '81 the new body style doesn't run it?
My 86 Scottsdale camper special has it, the the cab trim corners have the politically incorrect racist (**** THAT ****) Indian TeePee on it.
You know... 'cause we came in teepees lol.
Also Big Blue in my avatar has it and with the teepee too. A REAL camper special with dually, 454, 2 batteries, D70 rear end with 410 gears...
and oh the most important parts, the bumperettes.
I love the bumperettes.... as i call em her snaggle teeth lol

I'll see what I do Chief Squa Thumper.
I'm part skin too, but the family has little details. My Grandma on mom's side was American from a British family and they were shameful to admit American Indian got in there and tried to keep this family fact buried. My Native handle is Big Standing Hardwood.
My friend calls me a savage American......

Thank you for the info guys. They were welded stud things from the factory though right not screws? I' m hoping I can cover up the sle plate it has and put the trim right there
