Does anyone have a set of 1980 door speakers that they'd like to sell? Like the ones in this picture. I don't necessarily need the speakers. Just the shells. Color is not important as I can dye them to match my door panels.

I wish someone repopped these. I don't think it would take too much R&D, probably cheap to produce and maybe a lot of folks would buy them too. @TotalyHucked maybe worth pitching to someone?

I've mentioned them but since they're 1 year only, the powers that be wouldn't bite. At least not now. We're working on some restructuring and I was told later on down the road, we may get to do some of the more fun/small batch kinda stuff

Would be easy to make. Are they the same left and right? Looks like it.

Only issue I can see if usually a minimum would be 50pcs and I cant see selling 25 pairs.

One year only? If you make them they could be for any year, right?

True but I know very few people that would be willing to cut up door panels for that when the kick panel speaker pods are out there.
True. Danged kick panels

Hi,

I came across the listing on ebay and thought I would share. In case you are still interested in finding the door speakers.

Although a cool factor exist with these. I bet farting in a tin can would sound better, and I wouldn't hack up my doors to entertain a pair of those for all the $ in the world! Only way I would, is if I owned a 1980 and was doing a complete resto on it.

Dang, my 78 and 79 only came with JBL speakers and no grills.
Did not know they existed before this thread.
