1980 c30 truck details

This is my 1980 c30 crew cab dually that my friends nicknamed the "black mamba". She has a 454 that has been bored .030 over and has an "rv" cam, all done by previous ower, ran great but since then I changed the stock air intake and quadrajet carb for a summit street strip intake and a summit brand 750c.f.m carb and a high voltage hei distributor, aside from that just a high torque mini starter and that's about it, the tranny is a turbo 400 that works great I have no history on it so I have no idea if it is stock or not, she also has a black interior to match, being an 80' model she stands out from the bunch and people love her but she still needs a little love to get her 100%, little rust on the corners of the front windshield (nothing major) and it being a crew cab it has developed some rust in the pillar between the two doors, all things that I plan to address sooner rather than later, I welcome any questions or comments, good or bad and thanks for taking a look at my baby

I appreciate the love, I've owned it for going on 4 years now and yesterday I was at a local shop with it getting the inspection paper for it and I had a guy flag me down wanting to buy it right on the spot, I can honestly say that it was the first time that someone was that persistent about it, he didn't just ask if it was for sale like most people, he couldn't get his check book out fast enough haha, but I had to break his heart, she isn't going anywhere

If you are referring to the tach I did it myself, it was very simple With the aftermarket unit offered by gm sports virtually plug and play just needed to modify the housing and personally I also changed to bulbs out for blue led bulbs that give it a great look at night

It was $215 with shipping if I remember right but that's a little less than buying a tach and fuel gauge from lmc plus the circuit board to make them work would cost another $80 so that's the reason I went this route

Love your truck. I need one badly. I would even be happy with a regular cab version. Really need a reg cab, 4X4, one ton with a flatbed.

I love the dually fenders on these trucks so I wouldn't personally go the flatbed route UNLESS the fenders where broken, but I will agree with you that they look great with flatbeds, a buddy of mine has an 83 with a "hauler" bed, it's not quite a flatbed but it has great body lines that go with the truck
