My paint code is 62 and my spid says buckskin but everywhere I find 1975 code 62 now it says light saddle. Should they be the same color?

Bump because I was interested myself.

I looked into 75 and 76 colors, and they both were light saddle

You can't go by the noun name. The naming is marketing magic.

"Hugger Orange" on a Chevy becomes "Carousel Red" on a Pontiac. "Black" on a Chevy becomes "Tuxedo Black" on a GMC becomes "Black Diamond" on a Cadillac.

You have to go by the paint code (62) and the recipe (WA2778).

Thanks Keith. That is what I figured but when they mixed the paint it come back way lighter. I ended up taking my glove box door off and matching to that. I'm a Pontiac guy too. Love reading the articles about your 65. I'll be driving the Buckskin and white 75 Blazer on Woodward on the weekends if you make it out there often.

I'll keep an eye open; I'll be out there with the GP.

I have the same issue. Paint code 62 light saddle does not match my buckskin 62 paint code for 1975. Were you able to get the correct paint code?
