I have looked and cannot find one. 1968 3/4 ton Suburban Dana 60 panhard bar frame mount. Those bars go off at a an angle away from the axle unlike the H052 or H072 axles where the bar is parallel with the axle. I am wanting to swap in the better-geared 3.54 '68 D60 I have but need the frame mount for it. My other option is have something fabricated or alter the bar to mount to the '65 frame. Options, but the proper mount may be the best route unless one cannot be located.

I just looked on wikipedia and this is information from the 1967-1972 6th Generation of the Suburban..... "1971 models featured disc brakes on the front wheels,[27] and 1972 was the last year for coil-spring rear suspension on 2WD models."

So it appears that the search could be expanded to 1967 to 1972 since those were the only years for 2wd coil-sprung rear suspension. Somewhere out in GMSquarebody Land there may be somebody that knows where one of these beasts are lying in the woods, or in a junkyard somewhere. If anyone runs across one please let me know. Thanks.

All of these years I thought I had a 1968 D60. I learned during lunch it is a one-year build option, the 3.54 geared Dana 60 that is, so I have a rare gem on my hands. So, if anyone is watching this thread, the search has been narrowed down to 1972 only. It has the panhard bar mount cast right into differential portion of the axle, unlike the H052 and H072 that have the mount welded to the passenger side axle tube.

Yeah it seems that way. There is a complete '72 burb near here for $3,500, but I don't need the entire vehicle, although they are cool. Three door burb, big block, great highway gearing, could be a really cool camping vehicle if I had the money or space for it. It's in dire need of a thorough going through.

But I found two ads on craigslist yesterday and the poster's both had potential for having the mount I need. One of them has the entire frame but he doesn't want to hack it up for one mount. He said the axle I have, he suspects GM produced around 3,000 of them, so they are rare, so that makes the mount similarly rare. He sold one to a guy from Florida for $1,800. The guy didn't blink an eye, he drove out and picked it up and made a camping trip out of it. He said he has some cut up frames that may have the mount, waiting to hear back.

The other poster is local and is going to send a pic of what he has, and I am hoping it is what I need.
