Hey! I am an old fart. those are the exact tires that were on my Chevelle May of 1970. Didn't last too long (had an LS6 and an M-22). Did NOT drive well with those tires ,radials make a lot of difference. That and age I am somewhat calmer ,now LOL

A lot of Tempests met the same fate as those tires. I do remember when the Polyglas was the hot ticket.

Nope, sure didn't. Could shred anything in that machine.
Believe it or not ya cant, its a very picky bitch. It cant eat tractor trailer tires or any hard/ thick rubber.

My aunt had a '69 LeMans. Car ran like mad! Those tires made LOTS of smoke!

Sweet. Love the old Ponchos..learned to drive in a 65 Catalina 389. I love the floating intake...it leaves room under it to hide a stealth nitrous system if you want. It looks like it will be a Sunday car show ride...

I like it! Getting the survivor running after a long sit period threads like this are the best. Enjoy your dad, too!

That's why I took the day off, couldn't miss it. He said he barely slept the night before from the excitement of it all.
