C-notch and drop kit done, "new" wheels on, just waiting on some other little bits and pieces to be finished up.

Have a 1987 R10, getting rid of the big ole 22" wheels, doing a 5/7 drop and c-notch on it. Just picked up a set of stock 15x8 rally wheels and was looking for tire size options. Definitely want to run a shorter sidewall than factory, but obviously not a super low profile look either, something in the middle probably. I was looking at probably doing 235/60/15 cooper cobras. anyone with pictures of this setup or tire size with pictures that would be able to help. Greatly appreciated!!!

Losing the 22's is going to make your truck look 100% better in my opinion. I have a 1980 C10 being LS-swapped right now, and I have a set of 15 x 8 Rally wheels ready to go on it when finished. I'm going with 255/70R15 and then I'll see what I can do with the leveling/lowering. Level is my goal, but if I need to drop the front a little to get the look I'm hoping for, so be it.

What does LR60/15 translate to in modern tire sizes? Cause those look great on a 15x8 wheel. That's what our '78 Sierra C15 had on it, on factory wagon wheels. Sat right, lower than stock, filled the wheel wells but no problem driving it in town.

I believe that would be about a 275/60.

From what I have seen it is quite hard to get these to sit completely level without adjustable coilovers. I'm pretty happy with the look of the 5/7 drop and c-notch. Also rides 100000% better than before.

Yea I'm not sure what LR60/15 translates to. I went with 255/60/15 on the 15x8 rallys and love the way it sits and handles. Fills it out just enough, while still having a shorter sidewall than factory.

That's great to read. I've got a 5/7 I'm waiting to put on my truck (now that I finally got done with rust repair) and have been toiling over whether to keep the stock rallys. I looked back through the thread but maybe I missed it - did you get aftermarket LCAs?

I did not change the control arms. The guy that works on my truck thought that it had drop spindles on it when I bought it, but it turned out just to be cut springs.
