Throwing a 14bff into my 90 suburban (v1500) and wondering which parking brake cables to buy. One on the axle is currently cut and the other looks like it will be too short based on eyeball measurements

What year is the axle from? The older ones use a different parking cable arrangement. I believe '84 was the changeover year, when they also went to stamped spring perches.

I believe the options are:
Custom rear cables...
Swap entire cable system over to what was used in '78...
Swap '84-up backing plates onto the rear axle and use rear cables for a 3/4 ton Suburban.
