I'm reassembling the rear wheel assemblies on my 1978 K20 and I can't find any torque specs for the spindle nuts. It's a 14 bolt full float axle and there are 2 spindle nuts with the spider looking washer thing between the nuts. Everything I can find on YouTube is for the new chevy 2500s and those only have 1 spindle nut. Can someone help me out on the torques for both nuts please? Much appreciated.

According to my Haynes manual torque to 50 ft lbs, while rotating the hub. Back off nut and re-tighten to 35 ft lbs, then back off 1/4 turn.

Install nut retainer and torque outer nut to 65 ft. lbs. This should provide .001 to .010 in. of end play.

Axle flange bolts torque to 90ft lbs up 1975, For 76-79 torque to 115 ft. lbs.
