In the trailer ready to go to work with the boys and I tomorrow.

Probably going to build a body dolly. We will not be using the chassis that’s under it currently.

Hopefully we can get the body and the chassis we are going to use blasted and painted this week.

we have a '57 bel air gasser 2 door HT was built in the 70s at least.,., we have had it since the early '80s. its still how it was when iiit was originally modified built in the '70s or whenever, when it was a racer its sitting in primer still. since back then too. motor sits in the dash and its steel tilt nose and still aluminum small fuel tank on front. and a big olds rear axle and still the leaf solid front end. and 4 speed muncie and has had many different sbc and bbc motors. has had a rebuilt but non-run 307 chevy stuck in it now, it has a vintage electric water pump on it,. this motor has been in it since the 1980s, no interior and all the trim parts pieces bumpers and etc are removed and are stashed put away,. and so on...... i have pics of the car when it was forest dark green, in the 1980s still. before it was stripped down last and put away. a well known local racer guy owned this car in the 70s and before.

What's wrong with the frame that's under the car, what made you want to swap it in the first place?

At first we thought it was a California seamless frame.

When I finally looked at it closer I could tell it was s gm frame. No big deal we were still gonna use it until the boys seen rust holes in it after my buddy picked it up with his tractor.

I wanted to use it to be able to leave the other one under the car as a body dolly while I painted and prepped the frame from the woods.

Also the frame under it came from my sons 55 Chevy 2dr handyman wagon.

He has the California seamless frame from the 55 we are converting from a 4dr to a 2dr Gasser.

The 2dr wagon was heavily drag raced and the frame has been molested quite a bit, but I think it’s still in better shape than the donor frame.

Kinda aggravated because plans are already falling apart and we haven’t even gotten started...

We will overcome. (Hopefully) Hahaha

We got our body dolly built today. I’m not much of a carpenter but I think we’ve got a good sturdy cart.

We are taking the body off the chassis tomorrow. Rain in the forecast so blasting may be postponed...
