12 bolt regear with G80

Mornin y’all. I currently have ‘79 K10 with a 12 bolt 3.08 gears with a G80 locker. I recently changed the front diff to 4.11s and looking to do the same rear.

Quick question.

I was planning on getting a new locker and gear set but it’s getting expensive cause I’m also doing a disc brake conversion. So if I decide to keep the G80 I’m past the carrier break and I would need to just get the “thick” gear right? Would that work?

DO NOT get the Motive Gear ring gear with the spacer. I sheared every bolt and pushed them through the diff cover. Lesson learned.
Spacers are never a good idea. Double shear is never a good state for a bolt
