diesel is very high detergant and it has no zddp in it no more its not made for gas eng period
According to the Valvoline tech guys. I called them was asking about running Valvoline racing oil in the Chevelle to protect the cam,they told me run rotella t4 15w-40 it had I do not remember how much dzzp but it was signoficant and similiar to what all our oil used to have. I switched to it in anything I have that runs a flat tappet cam.
