    The Holley kit is basically the same, I just did not have the OEM compressor so I got the complete kit with the comp. One thing to note on the kit I got was I had to shim the whole bracket out one M12 grade 8 washer to align the belt and keep it from squeaking.

    What did you touch? Sounds like you inadvertently jumped power to the ignition. In my 91, ignition (switched) power is pink with a black tracer. If you find that circuit, check for continuity across the fuse to see if the fuse is blown. Wherever you were probing, you were in the vicinity.

    I use the exact same crimp tool, they have a stripper that they sell together with the crimper that has stripped thousands of wires for me and still works perfect. Flush cutters for the tie wraps, nobody likes to get sliced from a tie wrap tag end sticking out.

    Mine are the same, it would appear that you can peel back the cloth to expose the mounting bolt for removal. I bought some foam padding and 3M spray glue to attempt to repad them, will see how that goes. I cannot find any aftermarket replacements so seems like us Suburban guys are on our own.
