    SWAPPING 84 c10 body onto 84 k10 FRAME

Just did one. The auto C10 will have a low hump. The K10 will have a high hump. TotalyHucked confirmed my suspicions of having to swap the hump. Actually not hard. Ck out totally Hucked'S post he's the Hump Guru. Plenty of his and my pics on a thread -"Low Hump to High Hump Conversion". Ck it out

    Brakes locking up

Cdncarnut That is deteriorated rubber lines creating a flap valve interiorly stopping flow, it has nothing to do with rust, but it happens more than you would-GUESS? It also works the opposite where you can stand on the brakes and have very little because the pressure does not meet the wheel...

Front Brakes Locking Up Under Load

I'm sure you would have found this but for Sh@t's & giggles the pivots on the LSPV control arm can become sloppy and not react proportionally. Just a heads up. Good luck and let us know how the 13" Brakes shock you LOL! it's different

Dual axle trailer brakes worth it?? Pic's inside

Back in late 90's I got a 2 axle from N.Y. that only had single brakes. To register in Ct. I had to add brakes. At the time there was a trailer Fab. guy right in my town so it was cheaper to replace the axle than add brakes. Obviously makes a good deal of difference and is less wear on...

Dash/radio lose power on ignition wires

Good luck . As far as the voltage readings being low- if you're using a digital multi-meter and it has automatic range , it will show a fluctuating reading in mv with an open circuit unless it's a rather high quality meter. If you're using old school meter movement (with a needle) it will show...

Dash/radio lose power on ignition wires

Could be, and probably is a separate gremlin that just decided to show it's ugly little head but that wouldn't have anything to do with your electrical issue. It was ok before you changed the switch, back track and make sure you didn't screw something up. You may have had a solenoid problem...

Low Hump to High Hump Conversion

Thanks, really not worried about the sealant, we've got lots of options for that . But we may be making it look like it was factory floor which means it'll be welded.

Dash/radio lose power on ignition wires

The low voltage readings just point to a poor connection, Did you straighten the rod ? and make sure the switch was being pushed all the way? You could have a bad ground- like a braided body ground strap.

    Which Mirrors are BEST quality?

Get the Stainless Don't know if it's ok to name suppliers here cause I'm new here so if a moderator, or if someone knows That would be appreciated. There are a lot of places but prices vary greatly so you have to shop. There aren't really that many manufacturers, but a lot of distributors.

Low Hump to High Hump Conversion

Saw a post last year on this forum with you explaining the "Hump" specifics between years and applications. I was very impressed with your knowledge and method of explanation-short and to the point- I like that. Anywho I bought a couple cabs a number of years ago-1 for my '84 GMC 2500 that I...
