What new tools have you got lately?

Coolest cabinet I've seen in a minute. That one is one to keep for life. Now, where's the fly tying stuff gonna end up? Getting a vintage fishing cabinet would be sweet.

    Turbo350 w/shift kit slamming 2nd gear

The boys got it to seat. They're 15 and 17 and sure can wrench. As their homeschool auto shop teacher, they're getting to the point where they're gonna be teaching the class soon. Will get some photos up of the newest square to join the fleet soon. An 82 4x4 burb for the 15 year old. He got his...

    Turbo350 w/shift kit slamming 2nd gear

Thanks Matt and HotRod! Its a K25, so there's both an exhaust pipe AND a driveshaft there. Pretty tight prying. Gonna try to see if there is another location to pry against and if there is a different angle to pry that we haven't already tried. Keeping that socket on the cap, the prybar on the...

    Turbo350 w/shift kit slamming 2nd gear

How do we get the accumulator cover back on? Can't figure out how to get the snap ring back in the groove while pushing on the cover hard enough to see the snap ring recess. There has to be a trick to it. TH350 is still installed on the truck.

What have you done to your square lately??

I could use pics of the sender harness. This spring, I will be attempting to pull the longbed off, replace sender on drivers side 20gal stock tank, add secondary passenger side 20gal tank, and replace the axle with a FF axle I picked up last summer because my diff gears are all chewed up. Any...

    Sliding Window Restoration Tips Please?

Sam, did you ever rehab your rear sliding window? The directions @SirRobyn0 gave are what I plan to follow for mine, but it also appears that there is some rubber/old black silicone that has cracked and pieces fell away on the exterior of the non-moving glass. Maybe I can remove the crusty and...

I need the seals for the sliding portions as well. My window to cab seal is fine for now.

What have you done to your square lately??

Nope. Just cut them, placed heat shrink over the wires, soldered, and heated up the heat shrink over the solder joint.

    Fuel Gauge Woes

Thought I had my fuel gauge working because I made a connection between the gauge and tank wire and it went from 3 o’clock to 3/8 tank, but would only read 1/2 tank when filled. Heard that it's likely this little resistor that's gone bad on the back of the fuel gauge. Tested the resistance...

Let's see those 4x4 Squares On Dirt!

Heck yeah Jacob! I know the feeling. My K15 was a giant paperweight for the last month as I have been working on the fuel lines. Got er running like a top today though! I haven't been quite that far past Woods Canyon Lake, but my two teenage sons and I were camping in our hammocks out at the...

    Wrong brake calipers?

Oh yeah, I forgot that I had to very slightly drill out the hole in the brake hose for my slightly larger banjo bolt. "That was sketchy, but worked out really well." ^My new quote for my squarebody "solutions"

Sad Discovery: GM 10 Bolt Fails

Oh yeah, you better believe I took the cover off first before pulling any other bolts. It’s crazy good condition. So glad. We need to do some of this before I swap the axles, so it is going to be a bit still.

Sad Discovery: GM 10 Bolt Fails

Picked up a 14bff in really good condition having 3.73 that matches my d44 front axle gearing for $200 today. Also got the passenger gas tank for $40. Let’s see if I can get this thing in shape for summer trips up in the Prescott National Forest.
