3 minute battery life…?
If its not too late, add (don't disconnect anything) add Heavy duty jumper cables in parralel to positive and ground wire. Try to start it. This will tell you easily if your existing cables are bad. battery junction Block issue ( see photos)
Mine had trailer brake wiring (done by a 8 year old) attached to it. I disconnected it. Its sitting there waiting for something to use it for. I wondered what it was for also. Maybe someday I'll find a need for it.- justhorns

So, you need to trace wires, or have a factory shop manual to identify these (or somebody here will help)But #3 is funny. AC makes the part. As in AC Delco that they have become. I didn't even have to rebuild it. The secondary air doors were stuck closed as the dampners were removed and not connected (front removed, rear connected to full vacuum. Disconnected the remaining rear ones, and doors now open on demand. A little rough on response, but the truck has its power back. -

Thank you for your honest opinion, and you are correct. The first was a landlord who wanted to fix the place up and charge more rent, The second shop was a rich guy who decided to retire, by firing everybody. -

Driveline industries in Denver can shorten and lengthen existing driveshafts. I'm sure yours can too. Also, you must ask yourself "where do I want the motor?" Cleaning up my truck for VGG wipe on clear coat (matte finish). Also, after coating, I will install a new axle half shaft to replace the one thats bent and has been wiggling for the last 19 years. More photos to come after the clean and coat. -
