    1987 Chevy 700R4 Pan Removal

Thank you, I will try this tomorrow. I think the transmission mount is good, but I will double check, also, I bought the mityvac and was able to remove the fluid before dropping the pan. I'm going to change the filter and replace the fluid and hope the noise goes away, but it is doubtful.

    1987 Chevy 700R4 Pan Removal

Hi, I have a 1987 Chevy 350 with a 700R4. I have what I think is a pump noise. You can only hear it in the cab, while in Park, Neutral, and driving. I thought I would drop the pan today and see whats going on. I got the pan bolts out but front edge of the pan hits the trans crossmember and I...

    Picking a color

What did you end up doing? I just picked up this 87 r10 last November. I'm taking it to a paint shop tomorrow for some repaint ideas. Probably going to keep the same colors with maybe more metallic in the brown and not sure about the tan.

    Need a turn signal socket

Thats kind of you. I'm gonna try to repair the one I have. Its actually in good condition, but the ground tab broke off. I'm thinking to get the advance auto socket and use the ground wire assembly. If it doesnt work I may ask for your help. Thanks.

    Need a turn signal socket

I need a front turn signal socket for my 87 chevy. I bought one at advance auto but it would not lock into place. The one I have is three wires and white plastic. I checked two major truck web sites and couldnt find it. Should I just go to parts geek? Thanks.

Hey, just bought an 87 r10, hopefully I will find some answers here and maybe even help out.

Hi Thanks for responding. Yes, 15 inch. The tires that came with the truck are 235/75/R15. They have the full hub caps. The guy also threw in a set of 15X 9 rally wheels, I bought new trim rings, center caps, and lugs and was all set to put general grabbers 31.8 in on. but the more I look around...

Hey, just bought an 87 r10, hopefully I will find some answers here and maybe even help out.

This truck is all original. The only thing I want to update or change for now is the ride height. Since it needs new shocks and an alignment, I want to get it to have the height of an R20 or 4x4. Maybe it just needs a front level kit? I guess I need to know what tires would be correct too. Thanks.
