Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

Is the brand typically marked on them somewhere? I need to figure it out somehow. Rear is definitely using a lift block currently.

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

Recommendations for a brand for front/rear lift springs that won’t be as stiff? I don’t know for sure what mine are, but the shocks are Rancho.

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

I’ll probably bring it to an off-road shop near me who does a lot of lifts and see what they can tell by looking at it. Maybe they can suggest something softer if I keep the height. I will look at the shocks and see if there’s any branding too.

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

Here's a picture of the back I just got, guess it does have lift blocks. This is 4"?

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I think I'll leave the stance alone. It doesn't ride great currently, but I'm hoping that's because of the pictures below (front bushings issue) and maybe the mudders? Should I see a noticeable improvement in the ride switching from M/T to A/T (assuming...

    Carb replacement recommendation?

This thing is a beast. Considered a swap to a 350 but with all the body work it needs, figure I’ll embrace it for a while.

    Carb replacement recommendation?

Have a Blueprint Engines 383 stroker with 750cfm carb currently. Looking to replace the carb with something with an electric choke. Was considering the Holley 670 street avenger. A little better fuel economy would be nice and not worried about the performance hit. Is this a good carb, and is...

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

Thanks. I think I’ll leave it as-is for a while and swap to 33” A/Ts and 15x8 Rally’s and see how it goes. Plenty of other work needed so I can wait on the decision on the lift.

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

I actually think I prefer the factory height. This was my father’s farm truck in the early 90s and I don’t remember it being this lifted (although I was a kid). It was sold when he passed away many years ago and I tracked it down a couple years ago and bought it back. So I’m kind of going down...

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

I’ll get some better pictures Monday. Will it look odd if I swap to 15” and 31” tires? Or keep 33” in a regular tire (not mudding)? I’m not enjoying the current tires for casual driving.

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

I’m not with the truck until next week, but I have a few (poor) pictures that kind of show the leaf springs. Anything you can tell from these?

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

Any idea the stock dimensions of this truck? I'm surprised they couldn't find evidence of a lift...what should I look for next time I see the truck to point it out (other than the fact it looks higher than it should be)?

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

Here's what I'm working with... it currently has 33" M/T mudders (305/70R16) on it and I'm trying to get closer to the stock look and stance. But, I have it at a shop now for a bunch of mechanical work and they told me the truck doesn't have a lift. I didn't ask about shocks and if those were...

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

What wheels would have come with a factory 86 K10 Stepside? It seems like 15" Rallys, but would they have been 15x7 or 15x8? Looking to put some 31x10.5s on them so I assume 15x7 would be fine, but is that how it would have rolled out of the factory?
