Your right i got a Milodon Small Chevy High/Standard Volume Oil Pump ..just worried at low rpm if my roller rocker tips might become dry ...due to oil pressure shooting oil to far ..i am running vortex heads with stock covers so should have plenty of deflection...either way I always overthink...- Josh Helm

Hey guys Just curious on everyone's thoughts on high volume high pressure oil pumps ? I have one in my current build and just got few miles on it ...but with my gearing and 33s i am only running 1200 rpms at 60 mph...and that's the thing with these oil pumps there made for high rpm ..and...- Josh Helm

bed side panel removal
I bought a new floor assembly this year they are ok but any repop of any body panels is no where near the strength of finding a good rust free box ..but itll do for me ..I didn't have time to rebuild my box... so ordered it all new and there is many companies that make panels just shop around... -
Primer wont dry
well I come to the conclusion that it was because I use xylene for my prep sol ..which was a bad idea cause it became trapped in primer and couldn't escape ..not allowing the primer to dry ..I am currently stripping it all off and we will try again- Josh Helm

Total agree ..thats why I use kbs coatings they are like por 15 but better ..they sell it with a zinc phosphate wash which etch's into the rust then apply there encapsulator...i also know lots of guys who like to use cold galvanizing spray then paint because of the high zinc contain some thing... -

Japan drier? And the funny part is we use this setup at work everyday all day ...in transit electric motor industry..maybe where I got my materials ...and don't have a issue ..our booth is not a force heat booth either ...i am a quality tech for my company so I inspect lots of items and never...- Josh Helm

ahh I see ..cause I seen many no so "'strong" trans take extreme licking and keep ticking ....ill be running bout 450 HP ahead of my Nv 3500 ..should be ok and it has no miles and is the last gen of its production years- Josh Helm

well upon my research I messed up ..its a basic alkyd primer ..no activator need ..just reduction if you want ..but so I find it'll not like my single stage urethane topcoat either ..so a major set back ..any thoughts ,,still will have to wait for it to dry before I can remove it either way- Josh Helm

now this is cancer ..what my truck once was ..i would love to just have had a messy job...lol..but I hear you ..the more time you take in prep..the better the paint will be and last never know now lots of work -

heat it up with a torch and use a putty knife it'll come right off ..well the rubbery parts ..the wire wheel and sand ..also I like to use cheap oven clean also ..does a fantastic job and cheaper then a good degreaser -

if the price is right and they weren't rated very high for input torque.. just as a far warning but dodge used the same design and haven't heard much negative things ..so take that with a grain of salt .. I never had issues with it minus gear ratio is long 1 to 1 in 3rd and OD is .75 to 1- Josh Helm
