    Rusty/dirty frame

It's not magic, of course. I'm using the Rustoleum Rust reformer and on some spots that I didn't wire wheel the rust off very well, rust has already come back through a layer of Rustoleum Rust Reformer and Rustoleum Stops Rust enamel.

    Rusty/dirty frame

If then main seal in the engine is just a little drippy then you're all set! Seriously though.. get a big long wire brush attachement for a drill and hit up the frame as best you can, then try a rust converter (CRC is the best that I've researched, but Rustoleum Rust-Reformer is cheaper and...

What have you done to your square lately??

All weekend my roommate has been parked behind me but I can't move his car because he has a breathalizer innerlock system installed and we've been drinking all weekend so no one can move it to let my truck out... It's a really small Ford Escort and I'm thinking about running it over :killer:

    Help! Pinion Bearing question

No crush sleeve but a lot of extra shims? Sounds like it could possibly be the Crush Sleeve Eliminator Kit that Yukon makes. I'm staying tuned into this project because I may have to do all this to my diff as well, so keep the updates coming :)

    wheel bearing trouble

Guys! I fixed it! It wasn't the wheel bearing at all, it was rattle from the bumper vibrating against the frame. The wheel bearing definitely was a problem when this noise appeared, so it was a good thing I thought thats what the noise was so I could fix it. This is one of those times when...

    wheel bearing trouble

That makes sense about the ball joints, I see now how that could be the issue. I took this photo the other day, you can see the ball joints are not in the best of conditions.

    wheel bearing trouble

It's in 2 Hi and I have manual locking hubs that are in the free position. So, no, I guess the spindle needle bearing is not the issue? I also don't think it sounds like it would be ball joints. It's not a squeeky sound and no noises are made when I shake the vehicle around.

    wheel bearing trouble

Oh! I should also say that after I got the spindle off and the axle was free, I began to pull the out and then I got scared and thought this could be a major disaster and I put it back in and held my breath. I pulled it out maybe half a foot before realizing the mistake. Could this be the...

    wheel bearing trouble

Alright, let me give ya a rundown of all that I've done the the front wheel bearings.. About a month ago, the driver-side front wheel bearing went bad - it was making a chirping noise and the wheel could wobble when it was off the ground - so I replaced it. Actually, there's three bearings...

Can the 73-80 side molding be intalled using glue, not the clips/screws?

Cool, thanks. I've left the holes in the fenders of the 74 front clip that I swapped on, so that part will be easy to install. The rest of the truck body is from 83, so I'll have to drill holes. But there's another thread around here somewhere with measurements for where the trim goes.

1977 Rough Idle Stalling Elderbrock Carb..

CHECK THE TIMING, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet. My engine wanted to stall when starting from a stop. Then I adjusted the timing and it runs perfect now. It was not advanced at all, almost at TDC, now it's avanced 10 degrees IIRC. get a vacuum gauge, that'll help a lot. I found a...
