    3D printed GMC grilles

A 3d printer to make something of that size would be in the 10s of thousands of dollars. My company bought a smaller one (about 1000) and the biggest item it could make was 11X8X8 and that would take 30+ hours and probably multiple spools of filament. So it seems like time + money / market...

    Parting Out 2001 Tahoe

Same here man. I had a guy with an 02 Silverado come for the dash bezel and radio mounting bracket behind the dash because he wanted to do a double din swap the right way and it was a different set up from his. Thats what made me remember.

    Parting Out 2001 Tahoe

If memory serves me correct 99-02 are the same and 03-06 (+07 classic) are the same. GM changed electronics somewhere mid cycle. Not to thread crap either but I have a heater control from an 03 Tahoe that I parted out. Dual zone, electronic.

But the bed is rated for 11,000 lbs! I do think the truck would make an interesting cruiser or tailgate vehicle like he says in the ad.

I wrapped the bezel on my 03 Ram when I did the double din swap. I used 3M vinyl and a heat gun. No problems.

    New daily driver

Nice score, the price was right for sure. You pretty much have to make sure most of the fluids are in those things and they keep ticking. I DD a 2012 Volkwagen Jetta...wagon. I got the windows tinted 5% immediately so as to not be seen in previously mentioned vehicle.

    Harbor Freight Flashlights/Batteries

For the most part this is true...I EDC this noname flashlight for about 4 years now. Its not the brightest in the world but with a fresh AA battery it puts out pretty well. I got from Amazon for like 6 bux IIRC. NRA sometimes gives this away with memberships, I think theyve made newer versions...

ENGINE SWAP -or- SELL! the final say for the most efficient square body motor!

Great post, lots of good points...and that gem. Just to play devils advocate here, soup to nuts ls swap (key being a good running donor) can be done under $1,000 plus the cost of the drivetrain. Really if you want the most basic setup (no headers, no AC, simple tuning, no performance parts) it...
