    Energy suspension radiator bushing

If I remember correctly, the black polyurethane bushings usually have graphite infused in them to prevent any squeaking over time whereas the reds typically don't have the added graphite.

    Energy suspension radiator bushing

The upper bushings have a metal lip that sets into hole. Its designed to use that large hole to center itself on the frame so it doesn't shift around when the frame flexes.

    hi im another new guy

Welcome to the board! I'm sure you'll definitely be able to find an answer to any question you may have here. If not, maybe the question just hasn't been asked yet? Would love to see some photos as well as a build thread of your engine swap and all that comes along with it.

    Energy suspension radiator bushing

Took a quick photo of my polyurethane set since they're out for ya. I've got a body lift, but that doesnt change anything. Just a longer bolt. You can see the lip I mentioned earlier on the bottom of the upper bushing, that fits inside the frame rail and keeps the bushing from becoming misaligned.

    Energy suspension radiator bushing

The cone shaped bushing is the lower bushing that mounts under the bracket. The upper bushing is just a standard cylindrical bushing with a washer embedded into it. Washer fits in the hole, lower bushing points down. Large diameter at top, lower at the bottom. quick text dia: bolt washer...

    LED Courtesy light not working

Ran into the issue once that there wasn't enough solder on the LED bulbs to ensure a proper contact in the socket. Also had an issue with some that had a bad tab on them that didn't stick out very much so it wouldn't catch and prevented contact thus leaving the socket open.

    First time engine rebuild

To run the plug wires this way, should I order the shorter plug wires designed to run over the valve covers, or longer ones for running under the headers?

    Points to HEI

What's the difference in the plug wires? I'm currently running a set of Accel SuperStock Wires 4038B - 8 Cyl. Universal Straight Boot w/ Points Cap I've got my gapped currently to 0.035" I've seen that some say going to 0.040-45 is best performance with the HEI.

    Points to HEI

Hey guys, still gathering parts in preparation for pulling the 350 in my truck and giving it a good overhaul. Plan is to go from the factory Points Distributor to the improved HEI ignition system. What I know I need: 1. HEI Distributor 2. Convert from +6v ignition to +12v ignition. What...

Just bought lift kit. prob gonna ride rough

Transfer case drop mounts help with the rear angles, but it hurts the front since it tilts the transfer case back. Seems like you'd be doing more harm than good with one of those. By "2 higher", do you mean that the shackle is 2" longer or that the truck sits 2" higher purely because of the...

Just bought lift kit. prob gonna ride rough

Just to make sure, you're throwing on a 6" lift that has: 6" lift Front Springs A 2" Add-A-Leaf + 4" block for the rear? And you're getting a 2" shackle lift for the front? Do you mean that the shackle is 2" longer than factory or 4" longer than factory? Just a heads up, installing a longer...

    Factory front leaf spring sag.....

If you think about it a little, a negative spring in compression is similar to a positive spring on extension. The spring eyes try to come together as if bending them in the middle. On extension for the negative is similar to the compression of a positive spring. The movement is trying to...

    Never noticed the difference in sides for the speedo cables. Do ya know any reasoning for the different tailshaft housings? My guess is just updated, improved designs. Appreciate the info! Thanks, @HotRodPC;
