What kind of building is that, kinda looks like a basement, but you said rafters so must be something else?

Just an update, everything is back to normal without any input on my part. I guess the sites were infected and they got it corrected.

    Whats your Dream Build?

I love the 65-66 Corvairs, they look good from any angle. Ever since the late sixties, early seventies when the mid engine V8 conversions came out I have wanted to do that. I actually ordered the Kelmark kit construction manual for $15.00 back then just to see how involved it might be. Alas there...

I’m somewhat addicted to my iPad since the screen on my laptop went screwie. I may need to get my screen repaired. I really don’t need all the capability of a pc but the pop-up on the iPad is crimping my style. I glean a lot of info for my ls swap and Corvette maintenance and moods from those sites

Do any of you frequent the Chevelle tech forum? I use Chevelle tech, ls1tech, and the Corvette forum almost daily. For the last few days I can’t even get logged on to any of these without the below pop-up showing up and locking the screen. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I’m...

Impressive, I’m lost on electrical stuff like this. I can wire a house but automotive electronics are pretty much a mystery to me.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Finally got a settlement number with the insurance company that we both can live with. $2000.00 higher than their initial offer. They use a JD Power program to do value comparisons of similar vehicles in the market area. It was poorly executed in my opinion and had to make my case numerous...

Thanks, I guess I could have just looked that up for myself. I remembered them being twin engine planes but my young mind I saw them as much bigger than they actually were/are! Good memories just the same, a much simpler time, boy I’m showing my age.

Since their seems to be a lot of airplane knowledge around here, what was the plane/planes that Sky King flew in the tv series of the same name? I think that show did more to peak my interest than any other one thing when I was a youngster.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Oh yes, no one was hurt, I wasn’t with my wife when it happened but she said it was a very low speed impact, her words, “I almost got stopped!”. The occupants in the second car were ok though they were going to transport themselves to the next town to be checked out. All in all the best outcome...

Powder coating and blasting could be done with a reasonable investment, but plating is an epa nightmare. I bet way more plating businesses have closed than opened in the past 20 years.

Well is this thing in the air yet? I have been an airplane fan since I was a little kid, just never pursued flying, probably should have tried to get into it in the military but it wasn’t meant to be.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Now that’s some cheap parts! I’ve had a thought that I would like to convert the headlights on the Camry to leds. They were a option on SE models but not on Hybrids. I would have to find them used on a t bone or rear hit to even be feasible. The other issue I’m afraid may kick the whole idea is...

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

My wife was at fault. Her first at fault with her only other accident being the fault of the deer. . The car is a 2015. To me the car is not a total due to damage or I probably would not be considering keeping the car and...

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

The reason it’s more than just a simple repair these days is due to liability issues. In the case of Camrys, if the rails are bent, Toyota says the rails have to be replaced, not straightened. Each frame rail was $1500.00 not counting the labor to r&r them. I would agree if I had a hard straight...

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

This is the body gap on the passenger side. My brother in law does body work and has a frame machine in his shop. I will probably try to do a buy back, fix it and drive it. Haven’t got a number from the insurance company yet. I hope it’s fair and reasonable on both sides. Even though it’s a...

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Update. The insurance company is totaling my Camry! The car runs and drives and the steering wheel is only a little off center but the frame rails have been pushed over to the drivers side enough that to meet the technical criteria it would be required to replace both frame rails. One frame rail...

It’s good to see some of these cars getting some love! Most around here are just clapped out junk setting under a tree or already gone to the crusher.

Kool ride. Not sure I would be able to do much service work on a Mercedes. Don’t see too many around here and never any on the used car market for the most part. I guess people go to Nashville tp trade up at the dealers.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

While I’m not a farmer, I do live in a farming community. It’s big business with the small farmer trying to get bigger or just becoming a hobby farmer with a regular job. The big boys have to make major investments in equipment and planting season is also a major investment time. But it does...

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

I have owned and drove cars from the 40’s, 60’s,70’s,80’s,90’s, 00’s and 10’s. There were some dud’s in their but I can say that the cars have consistently gotten better, more expensive for sure but much better. If you put a 4 cylinder car from the seventies up against a four cylinder car of...
