Has the wife got her hands dirty yet? That would require a few more pics.

    My other pride and joy.

Hopefully going to pull this out this week. .030 over 350 that hasn’t been started in 20 years. I think I will tear it down for inspection and then put it back together and install in the square. Wish I had an engine test stand to put it on and get it right before it goes in the truck

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Pulled the frame horns back into alignment this morning. Took less than two hours not counting the tear down time. There is still a little tweaking to do and that will be done as radiator support, bumper support and fenders are test fitted before any paint work is started.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Wrote a check for $3400.00 yesterday for parts, mostly Toyota factory parts that aren’t available aftermarket. Still have another $1000-1500.00 in parts paint and materials to go. Still haven’t got a check from the insurance company as I have to going to the court house and apply for a new title...

What kind of lights vs stock , looks, performance, both? Cost, ease of install, wiring concerns, upgrades. That kind of stuff.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Ok thanks, I will have it repaired and back on the road in about 2 weeks for less than half the insurance estimate with all new Toyota or certified replacement aftermarket parts. Plus, almost two years of car payments erased. Wife loves the car and a new 18 model just like it is $37,000. Hate...

You’re in “other vehicles”. ??? Seems appropriate. If it has wheels I’m interested.

    A Thread about Dodges

I just remembered that the first turbo car I ever drove was a 1985 Dodge Daytona. I was impressed at the time with the power of the 2.2 four turbo. Ended up waiting and buying a 1986 Mustang GT, first year of sequential port injection on the 5.0.

Was it eating 727’s? They stood up pretty well to 440’s and 426’s.

    A Thread about Dodges

I doubt that is limited to Dodges. We get a lot of northern trucks down in our area and rust bucket describes them perfectly.

    2000 camaro ss

Painted door handlesand trim black to add some contrast. Too much red for me. Also tinted windows. I always operate under the assumption that you can never have too much red! Most of the Corvette guys think the aluminum intakes create too much of a heat sink to offset their other positive...

    A Thread about Dodges

My first non hand me down car was a 64 Barracuda and later a 69 Dodge Charger entered the picture. Never owned a Dodge truck but saw an ad for a late sixties model with a 383 that got me to dreaming. I had some experience with Dodge vans from the eighties and early 90’s and I liked them.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Well the Toyota is on the frame rack and parts ordered. Big news for me is I finally got my 95 Impala SS back on the ground. Put it on jack stands in July or August last year for some brake work. Incorrect parts caused some early delays and then the holidays and then I decided to make my own...

    Ford Trash Talk Thread lol

I think the Gm issue was not strength but weakness of the frames that was the issue, so of course it could result in the same outcome. I remember seeing a few issues of overloading the early frames and them bending in the middle. I had an 88 for close to ten years and over 200k in mileage and...

    82 C10 2wd ls swap

I don’t know about longevity but their are a lot of 5.3 turbos out there. The 5.7 ls1 I bought for my Chevelle came out of a 99 Corvette. The Corvette owner pulled it to install a 5.3 and turbo for a drag race setup. I guess your intended use would indicate what would be best.

    Ford Trash Talk Thread lol

My brother in law who has his own body shop and rebuilds wrecks on a regular basis told me he recently heard the new aluminum body Fords have a new high strength frame and most all the wrecks are requiring new frames or being totaled because they can’t be pulled effectively on a frame puller. He...

    are we there yet project

For $3k your guy needs a kick in the nuts. I’ve had some shoddy work like that done but I wasn’t into it that deep. It’s hard to find someone who can meet reasonable expectations for a reasonable budget.
