Gasket between sm465 and transfer case.

I got one in a seal/gasket kit I got for mine but cant remember where exactly it came from, more than likely it was rock auto.

sm465 through out bearing bad ?

Mine was doing that bullshit kinda after I did a clutch. Sounds crazy but try the lucas oil stabilizer, it claims to slow leaks and might be worth a shot before pulling that god damn boat anchor out again.

    Wanted:Steering wheel 90-94 Chevy

Got your phone number, I will lock it in. I usually hang out on the East side of Tuscon but I have known to go all over, you can pick which one. The truck is up at my parents house right now and I will be up there next weekend. I will check out the steering wheel and snag it. It might be a while...

    Looking for big block advice.

The throttle bodies are actually different sizes, you can find a good used throttle body for cheap though. All the TBI stuff seems to interchange though, plugs, vacuum lines and sensors. TBI is good and consistant, I dont think a carb could do the same on inclines but a carb will flow way better.

    Looking for big block advice.

The big block I just assembled for my truck is pretty much stock. Its bored .30 over, Sealed power Hypereutectic pistons, stock rods, stock crank, mild computerized engine friendly cam and roller lifter kit from comp, factory heads, Summit brand roller tip aluminum rockers, performer dual plane...

    Looking for big block advice.

The "mud trucks" around here are pretty much race cars, not even street legal anymore but I think I know what you mean by "mud truck". Big blocks are all bottom end, they have plenty of grunt to break shit without much work. The performer manifold is good for torque, I would just order a cam...

    best $15 I've ever spent

Are they better than the original gloves? I wear the original ones and really like them. Tell me whats good about these besides they would be good for directing people with hand signals.

    Always working alone...

I do have a friend who has the same attention to details like cleaning parts and painting them before installing. I had no idea he had the same attitude because we just get all drunk and do stupid shit to cars. Last big project was cutting this kids enormous smoke stack off his power stroke...

    Bad pushrod

Well I gotta get some sleep, so I figured I would leave with some bullshit I typed up that might help even though I am in no way qualified to give advice. Comps cams wont sell you a product that will eat a pushrod end like that, their level of quality is really good. I think you have the...

    Always working alone...

I actually prefer working on my truck by myself because my friends dont share the same level of attention to detail. Good example is a friend of mine who is also the mechanic that works on my bulldozer at work, I asked if he would help me stab my big block and when it came to bolting on the...

    Bad pushrod

Im wondering if you have the wrong length push rods, if you mess with valve train stuff it can throw off valve train geometry. Easy way to check is to write all over the top of the valve with a marker, install the rocker and rotate the engine a few times. It leaves a line where the roller...

    Good factory oil cooler KC4?

What part of the cooler are you talking about specifically? I have a factory adapter that goes above the oil filter with its line still connected. I also have a aftermarket sandwich adapter with the external cooler you mount to the radiator. I got it for the SS but chose to go a different...

    Driver4r's Monte

Im going to pretend I am you and demonstrate how I order parts. Are the performance gains these metal shim head gaskets provide worth the possibility I might be pulling heads off a fresh engine?

    Valve Covers

No but you can get adapters, I have no idea how they work but I recall looking at them when I was working on my TBI small block.

    Odd steering behvior

They always leak, I just put a new hose on my 90 because it was doing the same thing. If its constantly growling you might change it out, if it squeals right before the steering lock you are golden, they all do that. If you do change it out get a good AC Delco unit off rockauto. I changed out...

    Odd steering behvior

I put one in the 85 a few years ago, it came from Autozone and its still doing fine. I think it was around 160 bucks or so. While you are at it get a new high pressure line before it starts leaking.
