Any good hacks/upgrades you've come up with for our trucks

The vans in the 80's had a strap like that, in the 90's they came with a folding metal strap. The metal strap had a spring that would hold the door open, makes it easier to load your truck on a windy day!

part number on one tone master cylinder??

When you upgraded to disk on the 14 bolt did you add a residual check valve ? I think it's 2lb for disk and 10lb for drums.

Frame boxing for big tires, big axles, and high output engine

I'd box the whole frame. I built a 1929 Chevrolet hot rod in 2001, boxed the frame front to back, Changed all original cross members installed an independent front suspension, ladder bars in the back. I drove that car for 15 years. Really glad i took the time to build a solid base.

    Heavy duty tow hook option?

I have a pair, but I thought they were for the earlier trucks (73-80) ? They bolt on to the side of the frame rail.

$18,000 Canadian is about $13,000 US... Still a lot of money. I'd rather put money into a real truck, these 1/2 ton short boxes don't do anything for me.

I had a 1985 GMC van with a 305, the plastic timing gear disintegrated and left little pieces in the oil pan.

fleetside bed floor braces/supports any ideas on where to find? or build?

I used 2X3X.125 tubing on the C30 dually, just spot weld them in place. They are a little heavy but i won't have to worry about them. The hardest part is removing the old rusted bits.
