Help with ignition lock removal - 1984 M1010
The truck uses one battery for a 12V source for everything in the cab.....lights, gauges, heater fan, horn,....etc. nothing in the truck runs on 24V except the starter....(the glow plugs came from factory with a load resistor to drop the GP load voltage down to 12V but I have removed that and...- ballencd

Dual fuel tank filling
Just for the record......I dumped the idea of using my spare tank to carry gas and will just take a few 5 gallon cans. I don't like messing with the cans because of all the safety stuff that causes them to drain slow and leak on my hands and feet but I will not be doing it enough to follow...- ballencd

Help with ignition lock removal - 1984 M1010
It's been a long while now but a busy year. I figured out that even though it is a 1984, it has an older column in it, which uses the older style key lock cylinder. I ordered the right parts and with Strick's help above I figured out how to get the lock out. It is all back in now and working...- ballencd

I don't know the warranty on the valve. I got it from LMC awhile back and just now getting around to installing it.....mostly because I did not have a method to fill the right side. Fuel Tank Selector Valve Shield
Long time since this was written but I am just now working on installing a second fuel tank in my M1010. Here are pictures of the cover and location for future reference. Just saw this. Sorry. Yes, longer studs on the front but the back worked fine. I had to put new studs in the front anyway because of the rotor location change.- ballencd

Yesterday Sam's was at $2.95.....local station was $3.45.....I'm not sure it's legal to carry a 55 gal drum of gas inside a M1010. I certainly would not want to be in a wreck with one in there.- ballencd

Thanks for the info. I almost pulled that but was afraid to do damage. I did watch a video where they just grabbed it with a pair of needle nose pliers and pulled it out so I will certainly try that. I figured there were wires connected to the back of it. The truck is about 50 miles away so...- ballencd
