    Seat Belts

I think it was me that posted that. Here's the link to their Facebook page. They did a set of seatbelts for me and they came out great. Highly recommend! https://www.facebook.com/73-87-ChevyGMC-Truck-Seat-Restorations-2059439407476735/

    Under hood paint suggestion

I used this stuff to paint my air cleaner, inner fenders and radiator support. Came out great and I'm very happy with the look which is very close to factory. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B3UXQ7U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What have you done to your square lately??

I actually had someone recover it for me, and they did a fantastic job. You can see their work here: https://www.facebook.com/73-87-ChevyGMC-Truck-Seat-Restorations-2059439407476735/

What have you done to your square lately??

Finally finished the interior of my 1977 K10. New seat cover, new gauges and dash bezel, and best of all a new steering wheel to replace the original which was constantly sticky no matter how often I cleaned it!

Wire crimpers I never knew about. You need this tool!!

Threads like this always cost me money........

    Where do these wires go?

Then just run the red wire to the same terminal on the alternator where the battery is connected (marked BAT in your picture) and the white wire to something that has 12 volts only when the engine is running. Technically, you can run the white wire to any positive 12 volt source (like the...

    Shocks?

I've got Monroe's on my 1977 K10 and I like them a lot, but if you want Gabriel's then Rock Auto sells them.

    Where do these wires go?

Terminal 1 (white wire in your picture) goes to a 12 volt source controlled by the ignition switch, usually through the charging system warning light or gauge. Terminal 2 (red in your picture) goes to an always-on 12 volt source, usually the battery connection at the starter solenoid or directly...

Door Panel Fastener Set - (Complete)

USA1 has all the door and armrest hardware, including the square screw receptacles. I didn't see any complete kits but you can buy everything individually. http://www.usa1industries.com/1981-87-fullsize-chevy-gmc-square-door-panel-retainer-each.html LMC also sells complete door panel hardware...

    Limited slip in the front?

I put an Eaton Detroit Truetrack in the front of my 1977 K10 and I've been very happy with the results. I have a cabin on top of a mountain and to get to it I have to drive about a mile of gravel/dirt road that gets very slippery when it rains or snows. Before I made the change the truck used to...

    Old Delco 2700 "ETR"

The Delco digital radios with the clock have a separate 12 volt feed to operate the clock/PLL/memory chip, which is to enable the clock to run and keep the station presets loaded. It is usually on a separate connector on the rear, and gets a 12 volt supply from the battery even when the ignition...

    Eaton Truetrac Installation Question

Nevermind. Eaton tech support finally got back to me and confirmed that the axle spacer is not used in my particular application.

    Eaton Truetrac Installation Question

Have any of you ever installed a Truetrac in the front of your 4x4? I'm in the process of installing an Eaton Truetrac in the front end of my 1977 K10. It has the stock GM 10 bolt 8.5" ring gear differential. The Truetrac box included a parts bag that had the inspection cover and snap ring in...

    Steering Column Trim Ring

    Thanks eskimomann209. I appreciate it!

    Steering Column Trim Ring

There is a pressed in pin that goes through the housing and shift lever and holds the gearshift to the column. You can drive the pin out fairly easily using a hammer and punch. The pin has a head on the top so it only comes out one way. To remove it, you have to drive it out from the bottom...

    Steering Column Trim Ring

Hey RecklessWOT and Paladin - Any luck in finding the "dust ring"? I'd pay dearly for one right about now!

    Steering Column Trim Ring

If it comes to salvage, I may be out of luck. I've inquired at a couple of places and they want to sell me the entire steering column, all or nothing. I understand, but I'm not willing to pay that much just to get the dust ring. At least right now. After I drive it a while and that gap bothers...

    Steering Column Trim Ring

Yeah, I've looked through the exploded diagrams on LMC and the other usual suspects, including most every other one I could find on line and strangely none of them show the trim ring. It has to be installed with most of the steering column disassembled so I'd really like to get my hands on one...

    Steering Column Trim Ring

I'm stumped so I'm turning to y'all for help. My 1977 K10 has (or at least is supposed to have) a rubber trim ring around the steering column that covers the gap between the metal column and the plastic dash bezel. The rubber ring is a one piece deal that completely encircles the steering column...
